How often should we exercise? The U.S. recommends adults exercise two or more days a week, totalling 150+ minutes. Children should exercise three or more days a week, totalling 180+ minutes.
Is Yoga exercise? Yes! Hatha flow yoga (vinyasa) addresses all five areas of physical fitness, including muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and body composition. Hatha yoga offers the same benefits, but without cardiovascular training.
Tamara is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor (CGFI) with the American Council on Exercise® and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance®. She trained 200 hours with YogaFit®, a Registered Yoga School, and is an assistant YogaFit® Master Trainer. Tamara is CPR/AED Certified and a Certified Second Degree Reiki Natural Healer.
Since 2006, Tamara has taught hatha and hatha flow yoga to children, teens, adults, seniors and prenatal students. Tamara teaches weekly hatha & flow yoga classes for adults and children in Coral Springs, Florida. Private yoga, corporate yoga, yoga workshops and Reiki healing are available by appointment.
