Payment Processing:
- Pay Pal is a leading payment processor that allows you to receive payments from around the globe. A free Pay Pal account lets you receive online payments from VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Pay Pal and electronic checks. Pay Pal charges 2.5%-2.9% per transaction, plus 30 cents. Apply for a Virtual Terminal to process phone orders manually through a password protected Web site.
- Internet Merchant Providers. There are a number of Internet Service Providers and Payment Gateways available. Select one that is recommended by your Web host provider and compatible with your e-Commerce software. Application required.
Shopping Carts:
- Pay Pal provides a simple shopping cart that is great at creating "add to cart," "donation" and "subscription" buttons. The shopping cart is free and includes SSL (security certificate and secure web page) to protect credit card data. The Pay Pal cart does not include database functions or extra shopping cart features, but is a great place to start for a handful of items.
- NewTek. Crystal Tech Web host provides the NewTek Cart, with a user-friendly administration interface and customer experience. You can use Pay Pal for payment processing or one of the compatible Internet Merchant Providers. An SSL certificate needs to be purchased and installed annually.
- Miva Merchant. Hostasaurus Web host provides Miva Merchant e-Commerce software. A robust, modular package with hundreds of third-party upgrades available. An SSL certificate needs to be purchased and installed annually.
